When I officially completed the Woman’s Day Live Longer and Stronger Challenge last month, I decided to purchase a nutrition textbook so that I can be as informed as possible about eating right. My textbook is scheduled to arrive soon. I am excited about getting my nutrition knowledge on. Of course, I will share what I learn. I want to make healthy food choices. I want my good health and fitness lifestyle to be sustainable. I can definitely notice a difference in how I feel when I eat unhealthy foods versus when I eat healthy foods. I realize that for many people, eating healthy is not logistically feasible because healthy food is more expensive than unhealthy food. Eating healthy is a privileged position, but it shouldn’t be. I digress.
I am happy to share that March is National Nutrition Month! If you are a frequent visitor to the My Faith and Fitness Blog, you know that we celebrate nutrition every month with The Nutrition Nook. This month, I will be celebrating with my new textbook! Here’s some information about National Nutrition Month.
National Nutrition Month is a nutrition education and information campaign created annually in March by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The campaign focuses attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.
Please visit the website of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to learn what you can do to make eating right a priority in your life. Please share your plans with me. I would like to know what tips you can share. You can leave a comment at the end of this post or on the Facebook fan page, Tweet me, or complete the form on the Contact page. Be blessed. Remain encouraged.
